George and Linda Kristo 2012 grand marshals
Posted on Mar 6th, 2012
Mayor John Ditslear has announced that George and Linda Kristo will serve as the grand marshals for the 2012 Noblesville July 4th parade and Fireworks Festival.  The Kristos have lived in Noblesville for twenty-one years.  George has served as the Executive Director of the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs (HCCAOD) for sixteen years and Linda has had her own psychology practice in Noblesville for over twenty years.

“George and Linda are so well known around Noblesville.  They love this city and its people and are truly passionate about keeping Hamilton County’s youth and adults drug free and smoke free.  Through their work with the HCCAOD, they work tirelessly to prevent substance abuse through extensive outreach and education efforts,” said Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear.

~ Volunteers ~
The biggest challenge that the Noblesville Fourth of July Festival Planning Committee faces each year is finding enough volunteers to staff the festival and parade. Please consider donating two hours of your time to help make this event a success. Most volunteer shifts are from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, 6pm – 8pm, or 8pm – 10pm. Volunteers still have plenty of time to enjoy the Festival and the fireworks with their family and friends before or after their shift.

All volunteers receive a voucher for a free meal at the festival. Also, all volunteers receive a raffle ticket for a volunteers-only raffle! Three lucky volunteers will win $300, $200, or $100!  Many different opportunities are available—everything from setup assistance to monitoring the kids’ activities and more. For questions or to request more information about volunteering, contact Cindy at (317) 770-2007 or via email at cbenedict@noblesville.in.us
